Protoplex’s dedicated professional, full-time engineers and administrative staff focus on engineering procedures, product development, proposal development, industry engagement, and project execution. This ensures:

  • Access to engineering experts in emerging areas of advanced manufacturing technology, in addition to the wealth of knowledge available via the main-campus faculty.
  • Access to state-of-the art manufacturing and scientific testing equipment.
  • Industry engineers working side by side with Protoplex engineers on scale equipment.

Our full-time engineers have experience in design, metallurgy, and testing new concepts from idea to CAD to (metal) prototypes ready for sectioning and analysis. 

Functional prototypes can be produced, and our suite of material testing and analysis helps the customer gain confidence that the technology is ready for production-level qualification, from automated sample sectioning, polishing, and microscopy to mechanical fatigue, tensile, and hardness testing.
